How to Submit Your Resume Please send resumes in plain Word format. At the top of opening page include full name, place and date of birth/age, marital status and visa to work in Japan status, English and Japanese level language skills, (for Japanese indicate level of speak, read, write), education details, all contact numbers including physical address. It would be very helpful if you included some notes on what you can, cannot, want to, do not want to do; your short and long-term goals, past and present position titles and duties. If you were a contracted employee, please state so. If you are interviewing anywhere and/or your resume has been sent to recruiters and/or clients, please indicate where, when and current status. I cannot introduce candidates to clients who are already in possession of their resumes. |

My Philosophy on Recruiting Study my resume and you will learn I've been fortunate to have worked work in a variety of multinational corporations in multicultural environments. I know what it's like to work day in, day out at a firm. Note my references from market leaders in many fields. I like to spend time getting to know each and every candidate. Through multiple meetings and conversations I endeavor to understand a candidatefs strengths, weaknesses, short and long term career goals, personality and needs. Only after I achieve this do I feel confident introducing a candidate to a client. This is why, when I contact people and am told, 'I'm not looking for a new job right now,' my reply is, "That is a perfect place to begin our relationship and build from there." |

Consider Would you wait until you are extremely ill to visit a doctor whom you've never met? Hopefully not. You'd consult your family doctor who knows you well. I'd like you to consider me a sort of 'career doctor.' Get to know me well and let me get to know you. Open a window of communication with me. I can then contact you, keep you abreast of market/job trends, and you can keep me updated about your career so when the time comes, I'll be there to assist you with a solid understanding of your needs. I prefer quality to quantity and know every candidate I have placed in my 16 years in the recruiting business. I tend to shy away from desperate people hunting for a 'quick job fix' and prefer to have long-term relationships with those who are presently happy with their work environment, but who wisely prepare for a near or future change in their careers. |

My M.O. I operate on a 'dispense information on a need to know basis only' and always strive to maintain 100% info security to protect the confidentiality of candidates and clients. I speak with clients daily and summarize profiles of candidates for the positions I've been given, 'sanitizing' the information of each candidate, i.e. omitting their name and that of their employer. After hearing my verbal summary, if a client wishes to know more about a candidate, I immediately contact them, disclose the client's name and ask for permission to submit their resume. If the candidate is not interested in the position or firm, I send nothing. If the candidate is interested, I send a sanitized version of their resume. Question to ask any recruiter: Have you ever worked in a corporate environment, similar to the one for which you are now recruiting? If the answer is no, I feel the recruiter is unqualified to really understand the nature of the assignment and their client's needs. How many people have you placed this year? Wrong question! This question indicates a candidate does not grasp my style of business. I operate on quality over quantity basis. I'd rather place fewer people and know I've done a perfect job matching up the client and the candidate, than place scores of people just to earn huge commissions. |

Final Word Please keep in mind that as a recruitment consultant my primary objective is to satisfy clients who employ my services to locate highly skilled, experienced personnel. While I sometimes proactively 'market' skilled candidates to clients, in the end it is the clients who pay, not the candidate. I am not an 'employment agency,' and as such, have no obligation to find jobs for those out of or seeking work. Please contact me to begin our relationship and your journey to building a great career path! |
